Scott & Di Mathis

PASTOR

Scott Mathis was raised on the Wyoming frontier. Growing up training horses with his father and older brother he has spent much of his life on horseback. The son of a country preacher, Scott rejected his godly parent’s teachings and left home at age 14. Going the way of the world, he began a long drift into drunken debauchery, and majored in history at University of Wyoming in a vain attempt to disprove Christianity. Meanwhile, his parents were faithfully praying and in 1990, after five years of constant marriage struggles, Scott and his wife Di were gloriously saved.

Scott has been a Berean pastor for 30+ years, but he is still a cowboy at heart and loves to compete in team roping. Di loves to play pickleball. Scott and Di have been coming to Wickenburg for several winters and have seen a growing need for another life-giving church in the area. They are so excited to see how God will work through Church at Rancho Rio. They've been married 39 years and have two children (both married) and five grandchildren. . Every day they marvel at how God has saved them, changed them, and allowed them the privilege of being a team for Jesus!

Scott & Sheila Leach

ELDER

Scott and Sheila reside in Douglas, WY. Scott was a ranch-raised in Florida before moving to Wyoming in Junior High school. He grew up in a strong Christian family and it has carried over into his adult life. Scott has been actively involved in church including serving as an elder at his local church for several years. It has been rewarding watching our adult kids; Chance and Kiersten (and husband Braden) walk with Christ.

Scott worked for UPS for 18 years before becoming a full-time ranch manager for a couple years. He has been selling real estate full-time for the past 18 years.

Scott and Sheila have enjoyed their winters in Wickenburg for the last several years. They have made many friends through their roping and barrel racing. Scott has know Scott and Rick for many years and looks forward to being involved as an elder at Church at Rancho Rio. He is excited to see the impact this church will have on the community.
